3 days old | Newborn Portraits in Olympia

What a dream!   Sweet baby Leighton slept so well for us.    It helped that we had the studio a toasty 85 degrees and the space heater blasting.   I have so many favorites that I just can’t choose….so I’ll post all my faves.   A few new hats too.   Found the big chunky cream one at a Holiday Bazaar last month and I knitted the new striped one.

Evan’s 1 year old Portraits

Little Evan is missing his mama, who is out of the country serving with the military, and can’t be here for his first birthday.   It was an honor to photograph him!   Shyness was the rule in the beginning of the session, but I won out and got some smiles.    We had great fun!

A Newborn Straight from the Hospital | Newborn Photography

I often joke with clients that I’d be happy if they come for their newborn session straight from the hospital, but never quite get any takers.   This beautiful family was from out of town and preferred to not have to come back to Olympia a few days later for their newborn session.   Luckily we were able to make it happen (you know how unpredictable those babies can be when it comes to being born at a certain time).     And while I was CERTAIN that we’d get a million sleeping baby shots as he was so young, this little one had other ideas, and stayed awake for us the entire time.   I have to say he was the most alert newborn for being so young.    Older brother participated too and we also concentrated on a family portrait.

Little Miss Kendall | One Year Old Portraits in the Studio

I posted last month some of the images we got outside from Miss Kendall’s one year portrait session, but I never got around to posting the ones we captured in the studio.   She is just the sweetest little girl, and it makes me sad I won’t get to photograph her any more as her family is moving out of state.     Its been a joy getting to know you Kendall!!   Here’s one also from her newborn session a year earlier.
