Newborn 11 days old | Olympia Newborn Photography

Meet 11 day old baby Desmond.  He was such a wide awake and alert newborn, probably the most calm and awake infant I have ever photographed!   Usually awake and calm don’t go together in the studio, but Desmond was a breeze to photograph.  We got so many great shots, it was hard to choose which ones to post.

At the End of the Session | One Year Portraits

When we do studio sessions, at the end, when the little ones are pretty much done with me, I like to go outside and try to get a few more.  The change of scenery and fresh air always perk them up, and I can eke a few more shots out of them before they tell me “no more!”  And that’s what we did here.  These ended up being some of my favorites from the session (and the client’s).

Holiday Babies | Olympia Baby Photography

I try not to get too “proppy”  (is that even a word?) with my Holiday Portraits, but a few of my favorite props I can’t resist using are the giant Christmas tree ornament that never seems to break no matter how many little hands toss it on the ground, a favorite holiday cap, and the angel wings I rarely break out of the prop closet.

Digital December Sessions

We are making your family’s portraits quick and easy this year!  For a limited time only, we are offering Digital Only Sessions.  By doing Digital Image Sessions with no paperwork or prints, we will be able to shoot well into December, when our studio would normally be closed.  What does that mean for you?

Every session completed now through December 17th will include a USB portable  Flash Drive of your session’s high resolution images.  That means no coming back for an in-person ordering appointment, no online proofing, and no worrying about meeting deadlines for your orders!  Your session will be shot, pristinely edited, and burned to a flash drive that will be ready in a few business days.  Also included on your Flash Drive will be a copyright release form for you to print your images as you wish.

Digital December Sessions include up to 90 minutes of studio session time and a Flash Drive with at least 20 images for $750!  That’s more cost effective than our smallest print collection!  (And normally we sell the digital image collection for $2800, so this limited time offer is a steal!)

Don’t want a studio session?  We will come to your home or a location of your choice in the greater Olympia area for only $95 more.

Just want to come in for a really quick session with one subject?  We can do that too.    A 20 minute session for one subject only, one backdrop, one outfit, includes 3 digital images on flash drive for $375.   You can choose your favorite three immediately following the session, and we’ll have your images ready in a few days.

Family Portraits | Olympia Washington Photography

Its that time of year again…..everyone is coming in for family portraits to give as gifts for the holiday season and for greeting cards.   I got the chance to photograph this fun family two weeks ago in the studio and I was amazed how well their little ones worked with me!

Family Portraits in the Studio | Olympia Family Photographer

I’ve gotten the chance to photograph these two children separately over the last year or so, and was thrilled when I got the call to photograph them altogether for family portraits.  I always love it when everyone matches so beautifully together too.

Mother & Son Portraits

We had the best time!  Fighting gloomy overcast skies that threatened to pour forth with rain (they did after their session was over) we took advantage of the beautiful fall foliage.  This spirited 10 year old definitely showed me his full-of-life personality.  He was a blast to photograph…and his mom was pretty “cool” too.  :-)  You can see the love they share for each other, and that’s the whole point of what I do–being able to capture that bond between family members.
