It’s that time of year again. Â Birthday season. Â And that means its time for portraits. Â Originally we went last weekend to Point Defiance Park in Tacoma. Â We hit Fort Nisqually, the waterfront, the logging camp, and the zoo, all in a whirlwind session. Â But something was bothering me and I couldn’t put my finger on it and then I realized that every year, we’ve done her portraits wearing brown. Â Its not something I planned, but it just kind of happened–maybe the fact that she has a fall birthday has something to do with it. Â So off to Target for a new brown sweater, and the perfect time of day (4:15 pm at this time of year) and we were set. Â Except that I didn’t put the dog in and he kept jumping into all the shots. Â So we went with it. Â Â I can’t believe my little girl is getting so big!

Â
If you are just now starting to think about getting some portraits done for Christmas and other holidays, Â but don’t have the time or desire to come for a full session, these mini sessions are the perfect opportunity to breeze for a half hour, and get the shots you want for holiday cards and family gifts. Â See October 1 post below for further details. Â Â Call me at 360-867-9824 or email me at andrea@andreahautala.com to book your mini session before its too late.

I actually started working on this new blog back in April and then never got around to finishing it. Â But finally after a few dedicated hours to fussing with it, I think I finally have it finished enough to start using it in place of my blogger blog. Â Â Yeah! Â That only took six months!!
The best thing about this new blog are the image sizes. Â They are big and beautiful!Â

Gotta love a paint! Â It can transform a plain boring wall into something spectacular in just a little bit of time. Â My daughter helped me paint the other half of my last white wall this weekend and these quick snapshots were the results. Â Â Its going to look great for senior portraits…..and….and…and….

I completely forgot about this. Â I was recently interviewed by Linda Tarr of The Olympian for an article on outdoor senior photography. Â Â

On November 10th (a school holiday for most), we are holding our Holiday Card Mini Sessions! Â This is a great way to get the holiday cards you want without having to do a full session. Â Â
