I’ve been told before that I make it look easy getting the children to look at me and cooperate. Well I’m here to tell you that that is not always the case, especially with my own.

Thought I’d get a few shots of one of my new pettiskirts (which I have in all sizes, by the way–even infants!) and asked my daughter to model for me. Well she loved the pettiskirt (I may have to pry it from her pretty little hands to use it on clients), but wasn’t in the mood to work with me. Can you tell? I did manage to get one or two I was pleased with though.

LaRosa is my new backdrop that I just got in. Isn’t it beautiful!? It will be perfect for little girls. And the carharts are what this 9 month old beauty wore to her session. Love them on her!! Just as an aside: Sometimes photographing the babies is a family affair. My husband helped out in the image of her crawling. He juggled a bunch of toys that her mom brought while she watched intently.

This was a favorite of this sweet little girl’s mommy and I promised I’d post it for her.

Is this just not the most precious smile? And the most precious little 3-1/2 month old? I certainly think so, and so do his parents.

I LOVE the light that comes in my front north facing window. When we convert our garage to a studio (hopefully this spring!) I plan to have three huge north facing windows to bring in lots of that beautiful north light. I took this yesterday of my daughter as she looked out our front window.

I can’t believe I’ve barely posted since November. The holidays were crazy, and to add that awful windstorm that knocked out our power for five days right before Christmas (so glad I had no one scheduled during that time!). And last week, some kind of bad virus decided to take up residence in me, knocking me down for the count for nearly a week. Feeling far behind and hoping to catch up soon, I decided I better get to posting a few sessions that I’ve gotten finished recently. Enjoy!

Seems like last week was the week of almost two year olds for me. Here’s one of my favorites of little Asher. Isn’t he so sweet!
