Just Goofing Around

Yes! We have lots of fun too during our sessions…well, at least we try anyway. Here’s a recent family that I always enjoy photographing. I posted one of their whole family in an earlier post.

Priceless!

A newborn smile is priceless enough and sometimes extremely hard to capture. But a newborn smiling AND her older sister looking at me at the same time?….well that’s just almost too much to ask for.

From the Mouths of Babes

I was working on my computer the other evening, when my 5 year old came in with a sad look on her face. She said to me, “Mommy, I wish you weren’t a photo – grapher anymore because then you would have more time to play with me.” Wow. Now that’s an eye opener if I ever did hear one. Talk about making one feel bad. Its so hard to say no when clients call for a session, and I look at my already full calendar and squeeze them in anyway. But I see now that doing that comes at a steep price. There are only so many hours in a day!

So, in addition to keeping my holiday deadline of November 15 for booking sessions for holiday portraits, I will be accepting sessions for newborns and maternity sessions only (that can’t wait until the new year) for the month of December.

October is booked solid, but there are still openings available in November for both holiday sessions and regular portrait sessions. But don’t wait until the last minute, or they’ll be gone!

Halloween

Halloween is right around the corner, and my daughter wants to be Ninja Girl. I dragged out this backdrop that I haven’t used in ages and have to wonder why I haven’t because I’m really liking it!

Another Senior

What a fun session. “T” had me laughing so hard with her serious looks. She was really meant to smile! Her smile just lights up the room.

Dressed for Fall

I just can’t tell you how much I love when my client’s “get it” and come to their session well coordinated. Isn’t this just a beautiful family? I certainly think so! And they were so much fun, especially the kids. M–I can’t wait for you to see the rest, but for now, here’s a sneak peek.

The Little Arctic Fox

I had the pleasure of going on my daughter’s very first official kindergarten field trip to Pt. Defiance Zoo. The kids had a great time and I acted as the unofficial photographer (more like mom with a camera) and captured lots of moments and snapshots (which is something I rarely seem to get time to do these days). I’d love to post some of the kids enjoying themselves but I don’t have releases for them so I thought I’d share the kids’ most favorite animals of the day…little arctic fox.

Classic Black and Whites

And some color! I just love when clients ask me to do close up black and whites on the black background. They are just so timeless. Have to throw in the color one of little “E” with his toofers showing.

Bellies and little girls…

Bellies and little boys…Bellies and Daddys…

And more bellies that I can’t show because they are surprises for their husbands. :-)

New Throw for Babies

I found this shaggy fabric and thought it’d be perfect for newborns. The few I’ve used it on so far seem to think its quite comfy.
