What? High School Seniors now?

Who me? Shooting high school seniors? Um, heck yes! I had so much fun with this sweet young lady who also happens to be a good friend of ours. She is as beautiful inside as she is outside and it was an honor to photograph her for her senior portraits. I think we went just about everywhere in Olympia! Be on the lookout for her senior slideshow in the near future–I have a lot of proofing to do first though!

Lavendar Farm

The lavendar farms in Sequim, WA are absolutely breathtaking this time of year. We stopped today on our way home and I took a few pics. Of course I wanted to take some wonderful shots of my daughter smelling the lavendar, walking through the fields, etc. I had this vision in my head of the gorgeous portraits I would create. But you know, the thing about lavendar is that the bees love it too. And they were out in full force. It was almost funny that there were signs posted to not walk in the lavendar fields. I don’t know what they had to worry about…those bees did a fine job of keeping everyone away from the flowers.

My Deepest Apologies

Have you ever done something you wish you could take back and do over again? I did last week. I left a nice little message on my answering machine letting clients and anyone calling to inquire about sessions know that I would be out of town for a few days and would return calls on Thursday. The problem is though that I forgot to double check that the answering machine was turned ON! And guess what? Those of you that called and got nothing but an annoying constant ring know. That’s right…it wasn’t.

So my deepest apologies to everyone that tried to get ahold of me or just wanted to leave me a message for when I got back, I am so sorry for my oversight. I’m back now if you need to contact me!

Ready for Vacation

I’ll be unreachable from Saturday to Wednesday…short trip, but short is better than nothing, right? When the weather got unbearable a couple weeks ago, we took a short trip to the beach where the temp was a cool 64 instead of 104! I didn’t miss the chance to take my daughter out to the dunes at sunset for a quick session. This is one of my favorites from that evening.

Back Up and Running!

After a painful nearly three weeks of having my computer in the shop, I am back up and running with a brand new smoking fast computer. I couldn’t wait…had to order something, newer, faster than what I was using. Anyway, thanks for baring with me as I struggled through the last few weeks. I’m nearly caught up with proofing sessions at this point too thanks to the speed of the new iMac.

Here’s two from a session I did this week of two sisters. Getting them not to pose was somewhat of a challenge, but I always love a good challenge!
