I had the honor of photographing a fellow photographer’s girls the other day, and we had so much fun in the studio. This is me recommending her if you are here looking for a wedding photographer. Anyway, I digress. Here’s some of our favorites from her session:
I don’t know what is more my favorite, newborns or babies under a year old. Luckily I’ve had the honor of photographing Baby “A” as a newborn and a 7 month old. Here’s also a few from her newborn session from back in November.
My favorite age! Â Especially when they can sit up on their own. Â Â One of my last sessions of the year!
Sweet Babies grow up so fast!! Â Â It feels like just yesterday I photographed her when she was just a few days old!!
I’ve really enjoyed watching this little one grow up through her first year. Â This is the third time I’ve had the opportunity to photograph her. Â Â She’s such a joy! Â Â Happy Birthday K.!
I promised I’d post some of this little guy’s one year portraits. Â He started off shy, but really he was just a big flirt. Â We had tons of fun!
This little guy was just about the cutest baby I ever did see. Â Seriously, he’s going to be a little heartbreaker when he gets older. Â Just look at those big baby blues!
This little guy was so happy and smiley! Â I really enjoyed photographing him and his brothers. Â They were so good for me! Â I’ve had such a great streak of cooperative boys lately…
Little Evan is missing his mama, who is out of the country serving with the military, and can’t be here for his first birthday. Â It was an honor to photograph him! Â Shyness was the rule in the beginning of the session, but I won out and got some smiles. Â Â We had great fun!

I posted last month some of the images we got outside from Miss Kendall’s one year portrait session, but I never got around to posting the ones we captured in the studio. Â She is just the sweetest little girl, and it makes me sad I won’t get to photograph her any more as her family is moving out of state. Â Â Its been a joy getting to know you Kendall!! Â Here’s one also from her newborn session a year earlier.
When we do studio sessions, at the end, when the little ones are pretty much done with me, I like to go outside and try to get a few more. Â The change of scenery and fresh air always perk them up, and I can eke a few more shots out of them before they tell me “no more!” Â And that’s what we did here. Â These ended up being some of my favorites from the session (and the client’s).
I try not to get too “proppy” Â (is that even a word?) with my Holiday Portraits, but a few of my favorite props I can’t resist using are the giant Christmas tree ornament that never seems to break no matter how many little hands toss it on the ground, a favorite holiday cap, and the angel wings I rarely break out of the prop closet. Â
We’ve been having fun in the studio with family portraits. Â Here’s just a few of my favorites!
What a beautiful name, and what a beautiful family! Â Newborns are always my absolute favorite subjects to photograph and this little one was no different. Â Her parents were a joy to work with and she was a trooper for us. Â Here’s a few of our favorites from the session.
This beautiful newborn definitely ranks up there for fullest head of hair. The blue blanket was his–I love when I can photograph these infants with their own belongings! Their dad called the photo of him and his sister together, where she has her ear up to him “Whispers”. I love it!
