I never ever get tired of photographing maternity and newborn sessions. Baby B was the perfect sleepy newborn!

I had the pleasure of photographing this family just two years ago when their middle one was a newborn, and am so pleased to have gotten the chance to do it again with Mr. “E” and his two older brothers. I am so impressed with their mom too, who came all the way up from Oregon twice for me, not an easy feat I’m sure with three little ones under the age of 6!

I love, absolutely love with all my heart, when my clients bring their prized possessions and sentimental belongings for me to photograph with their newborns, so imagine my excitement when this family came with their dad’s 1937 pristine Harley Davidson and side car. Â The weather was gorgeous (its a good thing because I couldn’t fit the bike and sidecar in the studio together!) and the baby slept for us the whole time. Â I’ll have more to post of the baby in the studio but for now, here he is with his Grampi and Harley.
A family member of recent client wrote me the other day and her words touched me so much I wanted to share it here (with permission of course).
Andrea,
My grandson (Desmond) was born October 31, 2008 and when my daughter said she was having pictures taken by a photographer I didn’t think too much about it. I have to say I was thinking “Mall/Store” style photos, but when she showed me your work and sent me a link I was simply amazed. I have to say I have never seen such creative style in my life. I bookmarked you in my favorites, and when I need a pick me up I go to your webpage and look at all the beautiful babies, and people you have photographed. You have such a wonderful gift of talent for catching the best features in such unique ways. Your scope of talent goes far beyond the ordinary. Thank you for creating such beautiful art for all of us to enjoy.

Newborn and Sister is the name of the title, in case you don’t understand German (which I do not, by the way).
Big sister was 18 months old and not all together interested in having her portraits taken with her beautiful new sister (as most aren’t at this age), Â but I have a few tricks up my sleeve and prevailed! Â Aren’t they not just two perfect beauties? Â Â I think so!

What a whirlwind session….this adorable baby girl slept the entire time and we were able to go from start to finish in less than two hours. Â That’s a record for me! Â Â Her mama and papa brought some really fun and sentimental items for me to photograph her with, and I loved every second of it! Â Â Here she is…

A little blog neglect, and then my host’s server went down and took my website and blog with it. Â Finally getting chance to sit down and post a few of the studio’s recent sessions. Â Â This newborn came with his grandmother for some shots of her holding him. Â Â SO SO thrilled that she got to come! Â Isn’t he sweet?!?!
