What do I get with my session?

This is for one 45 minute weekday studio session in our Olympia Studio for up to 5 subjects. It includes a package of one pose/image of five retouched prints in the following sizes -- one 8x10, two 5x7's, and two 4x5 prints. Your session includes an in-person custom ordering session where you'll view a slideshow and we'll help you make your order choices in the studio.

What types of photography can this be used for? Family session, the kids, a maternity or short newborn session, high school senior session, a couples/engagement session (however, we do not shoot boudoir). This special cannot be used for event photography or commercial photography, ie, business headshots.

When does my Groupon expire? Expires February 28, 2012. You need to schedule your session before January 28, 2012. Unfortunately, we cannot extend the date beyond the stated expiration.

THE PHOTOSHOOT:

Where is your studio? We are located at 3701 79th Avenue, NW, Olympia, Washington, off Highway 101. You can find a google map and directions HERE

Can we do a location session instead? This Groupon photo session is specifically for our indoor studio.

How long is my photo session?Your appointment time covers up to 45 minutes in the studio.

Can we add on additional time?Sessions that include babies under 4 weeks can opt to add on an hour of time for an additional fee.

Can I add more people into my session? This is for up to 5 subjects (people/pets). You can add on additional subjects for $25 per subject. We do not recommend large groups greater than 8 in the studio.

Can I change outfits partway through? Due to time constrictions, sessions are for one outfit only.

Can I include my pet/pets? Yes, well-behaved potty trained pets are welcome in the studio. They need to be able to obey the commands of sit and stay.

Can I book back-to-back sessions with others that also purchased and then combine my session time with them? Sorry, one session at a time. If you have more than 5 subjects in your session, there is an additional per subject fee.

BOOKING POLICIES AND PROCESS:

How do I schedule my Groupon Session? The sessions are scheduled on a first come first served basis. You can check availability here. Date and times listed on the calendar are current.

After checking availability, complete the Book Your Session form below to schedule your session. Bookings are by form only, we do not book your Groupon session over the phone.


BOOK YOUR SESSION FORM


What are your Studio Hours? Studio hours for sessions and portrait review appointments are Monday-Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Saturdays incur an additional fee.

How far in advance do I need to book? We book sessions up to around 6 weeks out. We suggest that you book a month in advance (especially before the holidays). We do have some last minute session dates and times available but to ensure your preferred date and time, its best to book ahead. The availability calendar can be found here.

What is your Holiday Schedule? Sessions need to be completed by November 7, 2011 and orders placed by November 21 to ensure portrait delivery by December 20.

The studio is closed from December 17th through January 2nd.

What is your cancellation policy? What if I need to reschedule?     24 hours notice for a reschedule or you forfeit your Groupon. We reserve the right to limit multiple rescheduling requests. If you do not show up for your session without letting us know, your Groupon session will be forfeited.


PRODUCTS, SESSION REVIEW & ORDERING:

How long after my session can I order prints? Approximately 7-10 business days after the session. When we book your portrait session, we'll book your session review appointment too. In-person session reviews take place in our home office at the studio where your order is placed at this time, so any decision makers should attend this appointment.

Can't I just view my session online and order that way instead? Your only opportunity to see your portraits is when we get together in person at our studio.  We will help you through the process. Your portraits are not posted online, and there are no printed originals or "proofs" to take home.

How many photos will I see from the session? We will show you at least 12 of the best images from your session from which to make your decision. It all just depends on # of break-outs we do based on particpants in the session.

Can I substitute prints? Sorry, no substitutions to this incredible deal.

How soon will I receive my prints once I have placed my order? Our turnaround time is approximately 4 weeks after your order is placed. But more than likely, they will be ready much sooner than that.

How can family and friends order? After you place your order, the images you have chosen/purchased can be made be available online upon request for family and friends to place orders directly with us.

PRICING AND PAYMENTS:

Are you offering any other discounts for additional purchases for the Groupon Special? Yes indeed we are! We are pleased to offer a 25% discount on alacarte prints or 10% on any print collection, as well as the tremendous discount on the digital portraits when made at the review appointment.

Do I have to purchase anything else in addition to what is included? Of course not, but we think that you will love your images and want more than just one pose. Do keep in mind though that Washington State Sales Tax on your Groupon purchase will be collected at your order/review appointment.

Can I purchase my session files on disk? A high resolution flash drive of all your presented session images (printable to 11x14) is available for purchase for $495. (this is at least a 55% savings over regular digital pricing). Other Groupon digital offers include one digital portrait for $125 each or 3 for $300.

When will my order be ready? How are they delivered? Orders are typically ready to be picked up within 3-4 weeks of your ordering session, with the exception of albums and canvas prints which take additional time. We’ll notify you when your order is available for pickup or you have the option of having it shipped to you for a small additional charge.

How may I use my images? Andrea Hautala Photography retains ownership and copyright of all images, however clients will be granted the right to personal, non-commercial use of the images and files that they purchase. Images may not be copied, sold, altered, or published by the client without written agreement by Andrea Hautala Photography.

What forms of payment do you accept? We accept cash, check, visa, and mastercard.
